Exploring Tallahassee: Mooooo

Last Thursday, my favorite adventure buddy Charli and I decided to take off to a nearby park to shoot this outfit and go on a little adventure! On our way there, we passed a church that was right next to a huge beautiful field of cows. Any of my close friends (and honestly probably any person who has had a conversation with me in passing) could tell you that I am absolutely obsessed with cows. I have been known to pull over on the side of the road to hang out with them, I have a garland in my room that says “I ♥︎ Cows”, and I have a painting of a cow on a milk carton leaning against my desk as decoration. I’m not sure when my obsession started, but I just find them to be the silliest looking animals but still so peaceful. Also – have you ever seen the photo of a blow-dried cow? Because if you haven’t… you should look it up.

Anyways, back to this outfit! I got this adorable overall dress at the clothing swap I mentioned in my last post that I did with my friends Hannah and Audrey. I said it then but I’ll say it again- this is seriously the BEST idea. Everyone leaves with new clothes, having gotten rid of old clothes they don’t wear anymore and everyone is happy! This dress used to be Audrey’s, and this necklace used to be Hannah’s! When we went to edit the photos, my friends and I all thought it was hilarious that I kind of unintentionally matched the cows. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing about an outfit… but I’m going to vote good thing!

This jacket was also in my last post (clearly I’m loving jean jackets currently!) and it’s from Madewell but I bought it on Poshmark! I would definitely call myself a thrifty shopper, and always look for things I want on discounted sites before I purchase anything full price! Under the jacket and dress, I threw on a striped shirt from Old Navy. When in doubt about what to wear, I usually end up in stripes. They are so easy to style and can make it look like you put a lot of thought and effort into your outfit even when you didn’t!

My boots are my current obsession. One of my favorite bloggers, Mary Kate Robertson from Duck Dynasty, bought them not too long ago and then I started to see them in all her Instagram posts and just fell in love with them. When the after Christmas sales started to roll around, they were the first thing I bought and I am so glad I did. These are seriously the most comfortable shoes I own, and I’m not kidding when I say I wear them with everything. I wear them hiking with leggings, with dresses, with jeans, and even with shorts and a huge t-shirt when I’m making a late night run to Publix for some ice cream haha! I’ve gotten so many compliments on them, and I know they will be a staple in my closet for years to come.

This was by far one of my favorite days at FSU so far. It was so fun to get off campus, roll the windows down, blast some Katy Perry and Lady Gaga and just laugh and enjoy the sweet new friendships and city that God has led me to. The cows were a good reminder for me of how good He is about knowing and providing for us what we love and need. He has been so faithful in providing sweet moments with even sweeter friends like these in the midst of busy weeks and I am so thankful!

I wonder if he thought I was a cow because we were the same color?
